 | Our story began in the summer of 2011 at the express checkout lane of Lowes Foods. The stars aligned one night when two teenage Lowes Foods employees crossed paths over a mutual love for Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups. After a few dates, our friendship evolved and we decided to end the summer with a beach trip! We vacationed in Oak Island for a week, arriving as friends, and returning home as a couple. We have made a point to return to Oak Island once a year since then. The following year, Lee transferred to East Carolina University, allowing our relationship to continue to flourish. On our free weekends, we traveled up and down the east coast, exploring a new place each time. Our love for traveling continued, landing us on Destin Beach, Florida, where Lee proposed during our morning walk on July 4th, 2017! |
